I had heard that deliveries would occur first in the US before Canada, but I don't know if this is true.

I've heard the same rumours as well.  I'm still hoping I can get this before Christmas but I'm not holding my breath either.

Do you think Canada customs will hold them up? We will probably get stuffed with duty as well. Cry

Assuming that the proper Canadian certifications are is place, for example, a CSA rating on the power supply, I can't see the Canada Border Services Agency delaying importation.  I would expect to pay GST however.

Judging from the posts there are at least a hand full US deliveries that have been recieved.  Have there been any received in Canada at this point?

I am also near Vancouver.

Once I found out they were being delivered via courier from the US, and that Canada was not a priority, I changed my shipping address to a USA address (just called the 1-800 number)  Hopefully I will get it quicker and I won't have to pay the courier brokerage charge. I do expect to pay  GST and PST when I bring it home though.

It would be better for us Canadians if it is shipped via USPS (US postal Service) so that here in Canada it will be delivered by Canada Post.  This will minimize brokerage fees as UPS charges and arm and a leg but Canada Post charges a small fee around $5ish...plus the G.S.T. of course (hopefully the value will be indicated at or below $199 so we don't get hit by too much...

Still waiting for that first one to show up I guess. I was really hoping someone would get one before the weekend.

I'm in Seattle and they told me Wednesday the 19th.
My guess is the ones for Vancouver should be less than 48 hours behind them.
It appears they are using FedEx ground.
Seems silly for the delay.  Wasn't that what NAFTA was for?

I'm sure hoping it's less than 48 hrs.  The last day of work for the year is the 21st and it's arriving at the office!  That would be a great day for it to arrive however, I doubt much work will be done.  Grin

I'll be really suprised if I see the 2 (one for me and one for my daughter!) I ordered by the end of the year, regardless of being a 6 am Nov 12th orderer (I'm in Nunavut (the real top of the world)).  The sales rep had a hard time trying to understand where on earth the shipment was going... I had to call back after seeing that I was only billed shipping for 1 order...

What city (town) are you from?
My wife spent some time up in Inuvik this summer and said it was incredible up there.
