If you are like me, freaking out that Santa may disappoint, then do yourself a favor, call FedEx Ground: 1.800.GoFedEx 1.800.463.3339.

You don't need a tracking number (no one got one pre-shipment), just the delivery address.  They can tell you if a package is on its way.

Sadly, they told me that nothing is headed my way, but apparently its only two transit days from Libertyville (where XO's have been coming from) and Washington DC.  Now I get to call FedEx daily till I hear the good news.

I'm in Utah and FedEx said it takes three days to get here (ground) from Libertyville, IL.  There is nothing on the way.  Sad  Guess I can quit being anxious until Wednesday.  I was a first-day, first five minutes donor.   Smiley

FedEx says nothing in their system for us, and they found another package we received yesterday from elsewhere so I know they have the name and address correct.  We ordered on the web before 7 a.m. Eastern on the first day.

This works.  I just called and they said a package from Brightstar was to arrive on the 15th.  I looked up Brightstar and that's the OLPC distributer, so I should be getting mine tomorrow. FYI, I signed up online on Nov 12th.

Is it possible to get in touch with Brightstar?  has anyone tried?  Two days of defiantly no delivery would just be killer at this point. Cry

I wonder if the FedEx phone jockeys will start to inquire about the OLPC after all the calls. Perhaps more G1G1 sales?

I ordered mine over the phone within the first 5 minutes. Fed Ex didn't show anything in their system.  I thought it was going to be first come, first served.  Anyone tried calling the OLPC customer service line after learning of these events?

I just called fedex from seattle.  they shipped ground today with an arrival date of the 19th.
So all us 1st day donors on the west coast will have to wait till the middle of next week.
On the plus side, this means I can leave my house this weekend.

No package on the way from Brightstar to D.C. for me was the answer when I called FedEx. I ordered at 6am on the first day. My assistant ordered two for our office, so maybe I'll have some good news on those Monday.

I wonder if one's geographical location determines which shipping company is used.  Anyone in the DC Metro area get one at all yet?  I wonder if they're using UPS Ground for this area?

Just spoke with FedEx and there is a schedule delivery tomorrow from Brightstar.

Looks like I might be one of the lucky ones
